Overview

Upon completion of this chapter the candidate should be able to understand the safe application and use of Medical Gases within an Immediate Care in Rugby setting

Objectives

  1. Identify the indication for the safe use of Oxygen, and Entonox and Penthrox in Trauma Patients, or in Medical Emergencies
  2. Understand the preparation and setting up of equipment for the safe use of oxygen and Entonox
  3. Understand the use, complications and contraindications of oxygen and Entonox
  4. Understand the safety requirements for the storage and transport of medical Gases within the Immediate Care Setting or Medical Room to satisfy Health and Safety Legal requirements
