In match
The match management team will call your team into the tunnel at the correct time, will indicate where the team should line up and give the signal for your team to enter the playing enclosure. Your Team will line up opposite the substitution bench assigned to you for the singing of the national anthem (if applicable). Your national flag may be positioned on field, or your team may walk onto the field behind a flag bearer.
Once anthems are complete, ensure equipment (except for medical bag and kicking tee) are removed from the technical zone and any unnecessary equipment is returned to the changing room. Ensure you have assigned someone to check on the catering requirements for half time (if applicable), full time and that ice baths are ready.
As you will be responsible for working with the Replacement Controllers you should first familiarise yourself with the members of the match officials team who will work with you on the sideline. World Rugby Passport - Technical Zone Programme
You should also familiarise yourself with the Switch App:
This app controls the instruction to technical zone staff to replace players, who then inform the Referee.
If the app is not being used in your match, you will be provided with replacement cards.
During the match, the technical zone officials and the match management team are on hand to answer any questions you might have and support you in the management of your technical zone, medical staff (roaming or static) and replacements.
