Pre-departure commercial and media obligations

Union and team sponsors may have events planned with the team prior to your departure. Along with media obligations it is important to understand the demands on your team at this crucial time of preparation. Working with your Union colleagues to time the events correctly, you can ensure clear communication to squad members on their obligations and help the events run smoothly.

It is also important to ensure that all stakeholders are clear on the timing of team announcements to the media. The Head Coach may wish to announce the team closer to departure date, but the Terms of Participation may outline an earlier announcement date.
