Insurance

Your Union is responsible for ensuring all your squad members , including all Players, Management and Consultants are insured at home and when you travel. Ask for a copy of the insurance documents and review them, asking any questions of your Union colleagues or insurance broker/company, as necessary. 

Tournament organisers will generally pay for a player to be transported from a match venue to a hospital on match day, but any treatment will be the team costs. On training days, transport and treatment will be up to you. So, you will have to pay for treatment and claim the cost on your return. Most medical institutions around the world will require credit card details when you arrive with an injured player, so make sure a card from the Union with a healthy balance is available to you to pay for any treatment that might be required.
