Feedback
Feedback is essential to improve how the TMO process works. Feedback should be two-way and focused on improving collaborative working between the TMO Operator and the TMOs. The TMO Operator must be prepared to talk openly about specific key moments and Formal Reviews, addressing whether agreed ways of working were adhered to.
This should be done in two ways:
- face-to-face feedback directly post-match,
- a more detailed summary in the day/s after the match.
Further input will come from the Match Officials team. It is worth noting that not all TMOs will feel comfortable talking immediately after the game due to potentially high stress and emotion.
Post match, if there are any Formal Reviews, Live Referrals or general events of interest, the TMO Operator needs to save these incidents with the following:
- Every angle available and transmission feed
- The TMO Operator's output to air.
Before the event, World Rugby will send out a link showing where these clips should be uploaded to.
