Equipment check
Now is the time to ensure you have with you all the equipment and materials you will need at the stadium.
Anthems
If any of your matches involve anthems, you will need to arrange for copies of their anthems to be provided and shared with the PA announcer. It’s also worth knowing in advance the duration of those anthems, as that will affect the precise arrangements for the few minutes before kickoff.
Flags
If a match requires display of the team’s national flags, you will need to arrange for the flags to be available, usually through directing the teams to bring flags of a specific size.
Balls
The Tournament Director/Host Organisation will arrange for match balls. When possible allow teams to train with some of the balls for familiarisation.
View Law 2 - Ball
Many brands of balls need to be gently washed to remove the potentially slippery film that occurs in the manufacturing process.
Bibs
If there is a series of official tournament bibs, you will need to be sure you have the required colours and quantities with you. If not, you will want to arrange with teams and officials to ensure that team medics and water carriers can be identified, to ensure that officials can manage the sidelines and player movements accurately.
Sideline officials can assist in retrieving the bibs from teams after each match, if needed.
