Match Officials Meeting

Where possible, the head official will be responsible for preparing and supporting the officials, including the pre-tournament briefing:

• Where precise timing is important, such as when the event is being broadcast live, agree on who will give what  signal to tell the Referee that the match can start
• Make sure the Match Officials have the match balls and that the pressure has been checked
• Show the Match Officials where the coin toss(es) will take place
• Confirm HIA protocol (as informed by the Tournament Doctor at the Pre-Match Meeting).
