Priorities

By the end of this section, participants should be able to identify challenges associated with storing and sharing video and data, and the importance of data security.

No matter the budget or tools available, the priority for the performance analyst should be sharing footage of the game, and some form of review where the key elements of the game model have been measured. This could be as simple as sharing the entire match through an online tool, and a PDF slide deck shared via mobile phone or email. The amount of footage and data share will be determined by several factors including:

• What is being measured as part of the game model
• What tools are available to code and cut footage
• What information the coaches want for themselves
• What information the coaches want the players to have
• What tools the players and coaches use to access footage and data.
