'Rugby Rising Play' Launch

Girls’ specific rugby participation programme

Rugby Rising Play is World Rugby’s first bespoke Girl's participation programme designed specifically to help recruit and retain more teenage girls in rugby.

The programme is designed to support girls with no previous rugby experience, guiding them through ten well-structured sessions with the ultimate goal of advancing them to T1 rugby and providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the sport.

Following the launch of Rugby Rising Play, World Rugby will continue to develop new girls’ specific programmes and initiatives, recognising the importance of engaging this crucial demographic as we seek to grow rugby.
