Medical Replacements
Law 3.24 – 3.32
The following conditions apply to all medical replacements, the difference being that the time, in minutes, allowed for each event varies as follows:

- All times for medical replacements are real time and independent of the match time elapsed, including half-time
- The maximum time indicated is the time by which the player must report back to the sideline officials, ready to rejoin the match. Confirmation from the medical team should be sought before returning the player
- If the player does not report back as returning within the maximum time they should be considered as being permanently replaced
- Players must only return at the next time a replacement could be made (see above) after the minimum time has elapsed
- If the time expires during half-time the player must return to the match at the start of the second half unless the second half starts before the maximum time has elapsed.
