Working as a team of three
There are three key officials who work together to officiate a match.
- The Referee
- Assistant Referees (x2)
Each official has key responsibilities in making sure the game flows and is played according to the Laws.
Working together as a team of three, they can provide an enjoyable and safe environment for everyone to play.
The team of three should meet before the game to introduce themselves, to establish levels of experience and to agree on how they will work together e.g.communication protocols, additional duties etc. during the match.
