Animal and Human Bites

Bites from sharp teeth cause deep puncture wounds, resulting in tissue damage and the introduction of germs. 

Any bite that breaks the skin requires prompt first aid due to the high risk of infection.

  1. Wash the bite wound the bite wound thoroughly with soap and water
  2. Support the injured area and cover with sterile dressing secure with a bandage or tape.
  3. Arrange for the casualty to attend hospital.
