Pre-match meeting arrangements

The first thing to do is to inform all the pre-match meeting attendees of the time of the meeting and whereabouts within the venue it will take place.

This meeting is usually held at the stadium three hours before the kick-off of the first match. This is a key meeting for the organisation of the match.

It would usually be attended by some or all of the following:

  • Assistant Match Commissioner (if you have one)
  • Venue Manager
  • Venue Security Manager
  • Match Press Officer
  • Ball Boy/ Girls Manager
  • Match Day Doctor
  • PA Announcer / DJ
  • Broadcast Production Manager / Production Assistant / Floor Manager.

So at this time, make sure all of the above, if they are part of the framework within which you are operating, know where and when the pre-match meeting will take place tomorrow.
