HIA 4

The HIA4 is the final step to conclude an HIA event. Once the player has finished their return-to-play process, the HIA4 must be recorded.

The HIA4 date is the completion date for the HIA event. If it has been more than 21 days since the injury date, the concussion flag will be automatically triggered for a recovery period longer than 21 days. Based on the player’s RTP path, the HIA4 cannot be recorded before the minimum time frame required or the date set by the ICC, or if there is an open ICC referral yet to be completed.

No HIA4 is required if the HIA event overall result was no concussion confirmed. In this situation, the event will close automatically, and the player’s status will return to active.
