Module summary
In this module, the rudimentary movement patterns have been discussed and examples of exercises related to these movement patterns have also been highlighted. The importance of these rudimentary movement patterns for developing the core and symmetrical development of the body has also been raised. The rudimentary movement patterns provide the foundation for all subsequent movement patterns. If they are not developed appropriately then the child may have to compensate when more challenging movements are asked of them in a rugby game. The five-exercise screen for the child was also detailed and the coach should now be able to administer and score (if necessary) this screen with their players.
