Starting an HIA

To start an HIA event, you must assign it to a fixture or provide event particulars. If there is a fixture scheduled for the team on that day, it will automatically appear. If this isn't the correct fixture to assign the HIA event to, you can choose a different fixture. If there's no fixture, select one of the other options.

It is important to only use HIA1s for injuries that happen during matches in tournaments using HIA. For head injuries that are not related to fixtures in tournaments using HIA, such as those occurring in training sessions or non-rugby-related injuries (like car accidents), or injuries that happen outside of competitions, they should be assessed as HIA2 or HIA3. If you're assessing a head injury that's occurred outside of a competition fixture, you'll need to select the date of the injury.
