Nasal bone fractures

If grossly displaced, then it is in theory possible to manipulate the nasal bones back to the midline if done soon after the injury, but this can be very painful! Look at the nasal septum, as the major complaint is if they cannot breathe through the nose due to a septal dislocation. It is also important to check for a septal haematoma. If present, this requires urgent referral to ENT for drainage.
