Module summary

This module introduced the theoretical principles that guide the design of a training programme, highlighting how the FITT principle needs to be considered to control the workload on the player.

The module also introduced additional principles of training and how these can influence the design, implementation, and monitoring of the training programme.

Coaches should now be able to consider these principles when designing and delivering appropriate training programmes.

A simple, easy to use, circuit was presented. This adjustable circuit format is an ideal tool for coaches who are preparing to train players with resistance training to use.
