Ethical considerations

During functional screening, several precautions should be taken to ensure that ethical standards are met. Permission of players should be obtained in advance if photo or video recording is to be carried out. In the case of minors and young players, another adult should be present at all times and parental permission for testing may be required. Coaches undertaking screening should note that the Code of Ethics requires that results should be treated confidentially.
