Module summary

The aim of this module was to introduce the process of functional screening and provide guidance to the coach on how to perform a simple screening method known as the Overhead Squat screen. Screening is an extremely valuable tool for coaches and it provides a lot of useful information that can be integrated into a training programme.

This module introduced the Overhead Squat screen which is a simple, quick, and effective screen used to help identify movement restrictions or faults.

This module highlighted a number of common movement compensations that can be observed when a player is asked to perform an Overhead Squat and presented some corrective exercises for incorporating into training programmes.
