This section will describe the incidence, types and the factors associated with injury within the game in general but with reference to the amateur game. Further, the overall goal is to discuss possible approaches and interventions that may be employed by the coach which aim to reduce injury risk. By the end of this module the coach should be able to describe the incidence, type, and the factors associated with training, practice, and match-play injuries. The coach should also be able to implement basic warm-up related strategies seeking to reduce injury risk.
